CONFIRMATION OF ORDERS

We ask for a 50% deposit on all bespoke orders.  An order is not confirmed until payment is received. Any delay in payment may impact on the final completion date.

Payment of the deposit invoice implies acceptance of all of the information stated within it. The liability is on the customer to ensure this is correct and as expected, so please double check all details before making payment.

The information within the deposit invoice is transferred to the workshop as as the manufacturing specification. If the customer needs to amend any details on the deposit invoice, this must be communicated in writing prior to making payment.

If the customer chooses to amend an order after the deposit is paid, we will endeavour to accommodate the changes. Please note, it may impact on the final completion date as well as incur additional charges. This will be communicated to the customer at the time of change and nothing will be put into action unless all costs and delays are agreed by the customer.

The remaining 50% balance payment and delivery costs must be paid on completion, before collection or delivery of the order.

Fabric invoices are for the full amount, and must be paid on receipt. Fabric will only be ordered once payment is received.

FABRIC

Please send all fabric to Rose Raw-Rees Upholstery, Vine Street Studios, Grantham, NG31 6RQ

All fabric should be clearly labelled with the client’s name and project reference (if applicable).

Estimated quantities are based on 137cm wide plain, non-directional fabric that requires no pattern matching.

If you are specifying a patterned fabric, please make us aware of this at the time of ordering. It will often require an increased meterage, and may incur extra cost..

Leather square footage is based on clean, undamaged hides. Additional hides may be required if we receive flawed or damaged hides.

All fabrics have different characteristics, and so they may appear differently on the finished product to the original fabric sample. Different fabric companies also have varying tolerance levels for colour differences between batches. If you require an CFA (cutting for approval) to match a specific sample this must be made known in writing on ordering.

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure any specific details of how fabrics are to be used is made clear. If you required pattern placement of fabrics to be done in a certain way, please specify this in writing on ordering.

FIRE RETARDANCY

To comply with the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988, a flame retardant barrier cloth is included as standard for all bespoke and re-upholstery orders. According to the regulations, this protects fabrics that are made from a minimum of 75% natural fibres. If the fabric composition means that it requires a treatment to meet the Regulation standards, this can be arranged by RRRU and extra costs incurred will be stated.

Treatments do have a lead time, and so any delays caused by legally required treatments will be communicated at the time.

It is required that COM supplied to us has been treated by the customer to ensure it is cigarette and match resistant, in compliance with the regulations, unless otherwise agreed in writing with RRRU.

Please check with the fabric supplier if you are unsure if the material meets the required regulations and if necessary, arrange for the appropriate treatment prior to its arrival at our workshop. RRRU is not responsible for the treatment of COM unless prior agreement has been made in writing

MARKETING

Unless otherwise requested by the client in writing, we reserve the right to use photos of final products for marketing purposes.
