The Studio offers all upholstery services, both reupholstery of antique or vintage pieces as well as new commissisons.
Reupholstery
Antique, vintage or modern, I fully recognise the privilege of preserving treasured pieces of furniture and restoring them to their former glory.
Whether it needs stripping right down to the bare bones and building back up or just a fabric recover, I will discuss the benefits and costs of using either modern or traditional techniques so that the finished result its exactly what the client has in mind.
I take a detailed and collaborative approach with all clients, and I take great consideration of the furniture’s heritage in delivering the client’s vision for its future.
Commissions
I can take a brief from a sketch or photo to build new pieces of furniture - from headboards or footstools to sofas or chairs and anything else in-between.
I have long standing and trusted relationships with frame makers who can make one off pieces to an exceptional standard. Any shape, size, leg style, and finish can be considered, and either modern or traditional upholstery methods can be used.

Cushions
Cushions are the perfect accessory to any piece of furniture and can transform a room. Whether it is using a remnant piece of fabric from your project or combining colours, patterns and textures to lift a room we can make cushions to order and a variety of shapes and sizes.
Furniture Sourcing
Antique markets, junk shops, sale rooms and online auctions are all bursting with hidden gems that are in need of revival, so if you have an idea of a certain piece you would like us to source on your behalf please do get in touch.
Fabric consulting
We have accounts with countless fabric suppliers so can help with advising, sourcing and sampling for your project.
We can also work with clients’ own material providing it it suitable for the purpose, and meeting the correct regulations for UK fire risks.
